Keep VICCIR’s door open.
Funding for VICCIR is drying up. Without it, many survivors of torture, war and displacement on Vancouver Island will have nowhere to turn for counselling in their own language.
Every gift goes towards counselling sessions, trained interpreters and community programs for people who are rebuilding their lives here. Monthly gifts help most, because they let us plan sessions and interpreters with confidence.
VICCIR is a federally registered charity (76334 3498 RR0001). Every donation receives a tax receipt.
Why it matters
Care that nobody else on the Island provides
Only one
VICCIR is the only service on Vancouver Island for immigrants and refugees seeking relief from the effects of trauma, and the only centre that trains interpreters to work with counsellors.

of counselling since 2015, for people from around 80 countries, in around 30 languages.
No one turned away
Fees are on a sliding scale down to $0. Your gifts are what make that possible.
