Who we look for
Counsellors and interpreters
Contract, part time
Counsellors
Counsellors work with individuals, couples, children, youth and families, often alongside an interpreter.
- A Master’s-level education
- Registration with a professional governing body
- Professional liability insurance
- Several years of experience with clients dealing with grief, loss or trauma
- A second language such as Arabic, Spanish, Chinese, French or Tagalog is helpful
Contract, part time
Interpreters
Interpreters work as part of a counsellor and interpreter team, interpreting both sides of the conversation word for word.
- Fluency in English and another language we need, such as Arabic, Spanish, French, Mandarin, Tigrinya, Tagalog, Thai, Punjabi, Vietnamese or Portuguese
- Training is provided, with time to debrief after sessions
- A commitment to strict confidentiality
